History of the district
November 2026 marks the 100th year since the laying of the foundation stone of the Mount Pleasant Soldiers’ Memorial Hall.
We are planning some special events from November 2026 until April 2027 to celebrate this. Please contact Paula if you’d like to be involved.

Interested in helping preserve the history of the district? Perhaps you think some of your ancestors are from the district? You can visit the History Room every Thursday from 1pm to 4pm in the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall, Melrose Street.
