Annual Christmas Twilight Market, showcasing the amazing traders in Nairne and surrounding Districts

We are starting to plan this years Christmas Event. The Christmas Market, Pageant and Fireworks display. The date is locked in, the details are being worked on!!

Christmas Parade and Fireworks

Get ready to celebrate the festive season at the annual Hewett Centre Christmas Markets!
Join us for a fun-filled day featuring:
Local Market Stalls – Handmade gifts, crafts, homewares, art, and festive treats
Food & Drinks – Delicious local food vendors, coffee, and sweet holiday favourites
Kids’ Activities – Free colouring competition, crafts, and family-friendly fun

For over 30 years the community of Mount Pleasant, and its surrounding districts, have come together on the first Saturday of December to celebrate the festive season with a Christmas Parade and Street Party in the main street of the town.

Local community groups and clubs, as well as businesses, are amongst the participants of the Christmas Parade, which starts at Talunga Park and heads to the heart of the town, stopping outside the Soldiers Memorial Hall.

The main street will be lined with markets stalls offering everything from crafts and gifts, through to food and drinks. There will be activities for the children, street performers, a variety of competitions, raffles, and if we are lucky, we may even get a visit from the jolly man in red.

Everyone is welcome to join in, so please come along and enjoy a laid back, fun evening in the beautiful southern part of the Barossa Valley.

Please note the following:

1 - There will be no street parking along Melrose Street from Talunga Park through to Phillis Street from 4:30pm until 10:00pm. The road will be closed to through traffic in readiness for the parade to start. Please park in the back streets.

2 - If you are interested in having a stall, please email mp1.streetparty@gmail.com with your details. Applications must be received no later than the 1st November 2025.

Angaston Christmas Parade – A Night of Magic and Memories

The Angaston Christmas Parade is back — and it’s the night the whole Barossa looks forward to all year! On Friday 28 November from 5pm, Angaston’s main street will come alive with festive tunes and the joyful buzz of community spirit. Bring your family and friends to experience more than 35 vibrant floats, each bringing its own sparkle to this much-loved tradition — and yes, Santa himself will be there to spread some Christmas cheer!

The fun doesn’t stop with the parade. Wander the bustling street and discover live music by Little Black Dress, delicious eats and family entertainment at every turn. Visit the Farm Barn petting zoo, tackle the Barossa Rams’ blow-up rugby challenge, or test your skills with Games Guy’s oversized games. The Barossa Pipe Band will fill the air with the sound of bagpipes, setting the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable night.

Treat yourself to local favourites like ice cream from Nature’s Craft and BV Ice Cream, sizzling sausages from the Lions Club, juicy Kiwanis burgers, Amanti Pizza, sushi by Jo and hearty steak sandwiches and hot dogs. Then wander through the festive stalls — from Kids Unite and Puddleduck Candles, to Austin Green’s fairy floss and the Angaston Primary School’s tempting mix of raffles, baked goods, and fruit skewers. There’s something to delight every sense and every age!

And the magic doesn’t stop there — local favourites The Barossa Cheese Company, Casa Carboni, Hive Café, Oanh Kitchen, and Otherness Wines will be open late, joining in the fun as the street sparkles under the summer sky. So grab your spot by the road, soak up the music and laughter, and let the festive spirit sweep you up. Don’t miss the Barossa’s favourite Christmas tradition — and kids, keep an eye out for those flying lollies!

The annual Old Cromer School Christmas social night. This is a chance to meet locals you didn't know and catch up with old ones.

Once again we have had an amazing whipper snipper gnome, or perhaps an elf, who has prepared the grounds ready for our catch up! A big thank you to you!

We have some plastic chairs available so don't worry if you can't bring yours. We will have the bbq if you want to cook your dinner or bring your nibbles.

These evenings have been enjoyed by those to come so we encourage you to put the date in your diary and come a long and join in.

Join us for our Twilight Christmas gathering where you can leave the pre-festive hustle and bustle behind and enjoy a beautiful evening in our gardens taking in the sweetest time of the day; golden hour.

The wood oven will be stoked to bring you a delicious selection of pizzas, along with charcuterie and cheese boards and everyone’s summer favourite…gelati!

So gather your friends and family, sit back and enjoy some live acoustic tunes. This will be the perfect evening for the whole family, with games on the lawns and entertainment for the little ones!

It's the perfect night to drop in for a pizza and a vino before heading in to see the wonderful Lobethal Lights display; an absolute Christmas must do in the Hills!

PLEASE NOTE: This event is held outdoors and some elements of the evening are subject to fine weather conditions. The event will be moved indoors if the weather is inclement.

This is not a ticketed event but bookings are essential.

Tables will be taken on a first in best dressed basis, please feel free to BYO picnic rugs and folding chairs for the lawn areas. Strictly no BYO food or drinks.
