Birdwood Primary School proudly brings you our annual Farm Day for 2026!
Farm Day will once again be held in the grounds of our friends the National Motor Museum, Birdwood - and as always, promises to have something for everyone!
Showcasing the farming lifestyle over the years, there will be a range of working demonstrations such as sheep shearing, whip cracking, log chopping and blacksmithing, as well as petting zoos, highland cattle and other farm favourites!
Let's not forget amusements and rides, face painting and other activities to put smiles on the faces of the young and young at heart.
Birdwood Primary School will be hosting a variety of their own retail stalls, including our ever popular garden, sweet treats and much more. There will also be plenty of hot coffee, food and drinks to keep your bellies full, so you can stay and play the whole day.
Our favourite Farm Day Trail Bags will return once again, which will be available for purchase from the Information Stall - a great way to explore the event and see everything that's on offer for the day!
And let's not forget, each ticket also provides FREE entry into the National Motor Museum!
This is Birdwood Primary School's major fundraiser for the year, and we would love to see you there, helping support our local community and school while having fun doing it!

Top of the Torrens Theatre Group presents the ladies (and gentleman) of the Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society as they bring you the story "THEY CAME FROM MARS - and landed outside the Farndale Avenue Church Hall in time for the Townswomen's Guild's Coffee Morning".

This side-splitting comedy written by award winning playwrights David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jnr brings twists and turns galore...
- Why are the Martians visiting Earth - and why did they choose Farndale Avenue?
- What is being built in the Vicar's basement and who lives down there... ?
- How far is it to Mars, and if we tweak the lighting and sing some moody songs - will that improve its atmosphere?
- Can Mars and Earth get along as friends...
It's a story that's out of this world !!! And a little bit grounded in it.
Everyone's met these characters before - in your local community committee, the CWA or Red Cross perhaps, or the church flower guild, or Op Shop.
They're a force to be reckoned with - the ones who get things done in our communities, organisers extraordinaire !
With some of the Farndale's you know and some new talent, the ladies (and gentleman) of the Guild are sure to entertain you in an afternoon or evening full of drama, song, fellowship, frivolity, and laughs that'll have you falling from your chair!
Seating is Cabaret style - choose a table, bring a friend, or bring all your neighbours, community groups, book club buddies… make a day or night out together !
BYO (licenced) food and drinks, or buy some soft drinks and nibbles at the hall.
After their foray into the Haunted House genre last year, come see what the Farndale's can do with a little Sci Fi adventure. Bigger and better than ever.
Brought to you by TOTT and Origin Theatrical.
Featuring:
Alison Farley as Mrs Reece
Meegan Thompson as Thelma Greenwood
Hayley Melbourne as Felicity Cheshire
Helen Lane as Norah
Clem Stanley as Gordon, the Stage Manager who somehow ended up on stage too!
And many more behind the scenes!
