S.A. Spring Garden Festival
Nestled between the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills, the picturesque town of Mt. Pleasant will once again host the annual S.A. Spring Garden Festival, happening on Saturday the 21st of September 2024.
The festival features a full program that includes very special guest speaker Hannah Moloney, a large variety of plant and garden stalls, garden themed workshops, talks, activities and free Nature Craft activities for the kids. There will also be lots of delicious food and beverages, including gluten free and vegan options.
The Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market is again partnering with the S.A. Spring Garden Festival with extended trading hours, so you’ll be able to enjoy both the Festival and the Farmers Market experience in one location.
Mt. Pleasant is a beautiful drive from every direction and in Spring, the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley are alive with blossoms and spectacular scenery!
Admission is $12 (+ booking fee) per adult if purchased online, $15 per adult if purchased at the gate, with children under 16 and under Free. Tickets available online and at the gate on the day.

A celebration of the crafts associated with a fleece and fibre production in South Australia
Captured Exhibition opening - Top of the Torrens Gallery
You and your family and friends are invited to the opening of ‘Captured’ – a collection of pieces by artist/painter Jill Allanson and photographer John Wallace. Jill and John are both valued members of Top of the Torrens Gallery and have long been looking forward to presenting a selection of their many and varied ‘captured images’ for our viewing pleasure.
They will be joined by Adrian Beacham, David Hough, Barry Liddicoat and John Ragless who will be displaying a medley of 3D pieces including metal sculpture and woodwork in various forms.
The exhibition will be officially opened at 2pm on Sunday the 5th of February by Jill Allanson and John Wallace. We hope to see you all at the opening event where refreshments will be served from 2pm.
Please note that the Gallery is now also opened on Mondays – 11am to 4pm for you to call in and view the display and explore the Gift Shop. The exhibition concludes on the 19th of March

Looking for something to delight the young and the young at heart?
Take yourself on a journey through the Hahndorf Fairy Gardens.
Filled with whimsical characters, the fairy gardens are basically a shop in the township of Hahndorf. However, there are many things to delight the little ones and spark your imagination.
From magic fairy toadstools, through the fairy wish-you-well, where you can even send a letter or email to the fairies.
Everywhere you turn, there are special little art pieces to inspire and touch your heart.
Established in 1991, Jo and Lou and of course Pixie the security cat will do what they can to delight you. They hand make most of their products, using natural clays and other products suitable for the garden.
For years they have been sharing with Australian and overseas fairy and garden lovers. They wish to encourage children to use their imagination and interact frequently with nature.
